BENJY

Benjy is a Chihuahua cross with something and looks like a very mini Corgi!  he is 6 years old, desexed, immunised and microchipped, wormed, had flea treatment, complete vet check.  He is a very healthy little man and loves people and walkies!  He gets on well with the other dogs and is always wanting to play.  His price is $400 and he is ready to go to his new forever home now!

PIPPA

This gorgeous little Chihuahua x Jack Russell puppy is eight months old and in excellent health and condition.  So playful, and so willing to learn!  She needs a firm hand and certainly some training!  She will "sit" on command, and does walk on harness.  She has been desexed and microchipped,  immunized with C5,  and given flea and worm treatments.  She has the softest coat which she inherited from her Chihuahua parent!  Those loving eyes are full of trust, she is totally delightful!  Pippa was listed as Pippin and was homed at six months but due to ill health her doting new owner has been unable to keep her.  Poor little girl cannot understand why she has come back in to rescue!  You can see the "questioning" look in her eyes!

MING

Every now and then we find a gorgeous little dog that is an absolute dream!  Ming is one of those!  She does not bark, is toilet trained, and gazes into your eyes with total trust!  She is approx. one year old. She came to us from a pound situation where she was held for thirty days and not claimed.  She has now been fully immunized, desexed, microchipped, given worm and flea treatments.  She has her two long canine teeth actually lie along her gums instead of hanging down like fangs!  Our vet says he has never seen this before in a dog, and nor have we.  Vet advice is that they be allowed to stay there as they are causing her no problems whatsoever and she eats comfortably.  Her price is $400

BANDIT

Urgent notice!  Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the Booth Family, formerly of Barwon Heads, could you please ask them to contact us on 03 97755506.  Bandit has been found.  He is in excellent condition and has obviously been well loved and cared for.
They must be missing him!

SIRUS

Sirus is a long coat blue pure Chihuahua of about 2 years.  He has been desexed, immunized, microchopped, had worm and flea treatment.  His coat is in the process of growing back.  Sirus loves his toys and bring them to you but won't let you have them!!

Sirus was homed but it has not worked out.  Here is his story:- Sirus.  We got him out of a pound one day from deaths row!  So everything we know of him is just guesswork, but we estimate his age at about 18 months, and possibly the result of a puppy farm situation.  When we picked him up he would not go anywhere near anyone or anything!  Over the eight weeks he slowly came out of his shell.  He would roll on his back for tummy rubs and this was the only way he would allow you to pick him up!  But we just worked with his wishes, not wanting to force him in any way, just gentle rules and love.  He was very good the first time I bathed him, and even better the second time!  He loves his toys - or all toys, but especially the pink ones!!  Once you pick him up he likes to sniff your face and nose!!  He is not shy of getting cuddles!  We have not tried walking him yet, so that is some training still to do.

He did not bark for a long time, but now he does bark when greeting us each morning and runs around in circles etc.

I am sure he will "come round" eventually.   Lynn went and picked him up from the woman who wanted him, and while Lynn had him for three days, she had him coming up to her when she offered him Smackos!  So it is possible he might work on the "rewards" system.  We normally work by voice command only, so maybe Lynn's method may work better in his case!

Sirus sleeps inside and has access to our backyard throughout the day.  I would not say he is 100% toilet trained yet but certainly we are no longer having accidents here.  

Chihuahua Rescue Victoria has paid all his fees from pound etc. Desexing, fully immunising, microchip ping, and his teethe were cleaned three months ago.  His fee will be $400 to cover these expenses.

SANCHOS

A gorgeous little long coat boy of about 2 years who has just come into rescue.  He was very sad when he came in but has picked up and now plays chasey around the yard with the other dogs, tail wagging and eyes sparkling!  He has had a good bath, been wormed and given flea treatment.  He has had his C5 immunization and is being desexed  Thursday.  He is just a wee bit timid but warms to you fairly quickly.
His price will be $400.

OSCAR

Tiny Oscar came in to our care almost starved and very debilitated.  Fof several weeks he has been nursed back to health.  He has now had extensive surgery done on his teeth and has been desexed, immunized, given worm and flea treatment.  He is beginning to show an interest in life and the other little dogs!  He is only six years old but he looked like an old man!  He has very happily now found his new home and settled in really well.  He still has a fair way to come, but he is on the way to a full recovery!
