KAHLUA

Kahlua a gorgeous little long coat Chihuahua puppy, DOB 17/7/2020.  Unfortunately Kahlua has inheritted a genetic major heart deformity - This heart condition is severe and no one can predict what her life expectancy will be however we do know it will not be a long life!  Both valves are leaking from what I understand.  Our vet report will be given to anyone wishing to understand this condition.  There is no medication that can help this situation.

HONEY

Honey is a 2 1/2 year old (DOB 9/2/18) darling little girl with problems!  She came from a back yard home where a lot of interbreeding took place.  She has an inherited heart condition.  She came in to our care obviously very pregnant, and four days after arriving she gave birth to three gorgeous little puppies

(one of who has inheritted her heart condition!).  This heart condition is severe and no one can predict what her life expectancy will be however we do know it will not be a long life!  Both valves are leaking from what I understand.  Our vet report will be given to anyone wishing to understand this condition.  There is no medication that can help this situation.  She is toilet trained to a pee pad.  Best for her to have a quiet lifestyle (although she is playing and very active!)  Loves close contat with you and cuddles are a must!

SISCO

Sisco is a darling little smooth coat Chihuahua of 8 years.  He is very quiet and loves his human!  Loves a lap to snuggle on.  He has just come home from having his surgery when this photo was taken to not looking as happy as normally, poor boy.  Sisco has his teeth cleaned and two extractions.  He does have a Gr 3 heart murmur not requiring medication at this stage.  He does have both back knee patella probably grade 3 1/2 to 4.  We do not suggest surgery due to his heart condition.  He needs a nice quiet home where he can live the rest of his life without stresses with a nice little back yard to relax in the sunshine and go to the toilet.

HUGO

Hugo the handsomest little Chihuahua is now seeking his forever loving home.  He is a smooth coat chocolate of 8 years (DOB 02/05/2012).

He gets along with one other little dog, but does not like bigger dogs, no cats, and no children (can be frightened of them and snap) Is fine with adults given time and he will bond very closely with you.

BANJO

Banjo, my very special little man and needing a VERY special and experienced home with an owner who has the patience to wait until he trusts them!  Banjo has been with us for the past eleven months.  He was found roaming and impounded in December.  We had the phone call from a very caring Ranger who explained that Banjo was so terribly traumatised that he would allow no one near him.  She explained that if I could not help him, then he would be euthanised.  Of course we agreed to take him in to our care and so began months of gentle handling and care.  Three months before he could be picked up and held!  Once he was out and running with the other dogs we realised both his back knee joints were the worst we have ever seen (not supporting him at all!).  During the next six weeks Banjo had two huge surgeries to repair both his back legs.  He is now able to walk, run, play, stand up etc. on both legs with no problem although occasionally he does favour one or the other leg a little.

Banjo's problem is that he does not trust people.  Trying to push him will result in attack!  He will bite and bite hard.  After six moths of handling he stopped biting me totally and now he just gives me a warning, mouth over my hand but no pressure - almost play like. He is NOT for the feint hearted. He is beautifully toilet trained so much so that when recovering from anaesthetic and first 24 hours home he would not go to toilet until carried outside!

WALNUT

Walnut the little charmer!  He is 7 years old (DOB 02/07/2013) Toilet trained and quiet.  He is a little timid around other dogs and not sure of cats, certainly not suited with young children.

Walnut does suffer from epilepsy and is on medication which does control his seizures.  It is very important that Walnut be given his medication regularly every twelve hours.  This medication does make him very hungry so his food intake must also be monitored so he will not become too overweight.  He currently weighs 3.3 kg and this seems to suit him quite well.  When he gets to know you he is quite playful and does like to go for short walks on harness.  We are seeking someone experienced with epilepsy in dogs.

ROLDY

Roldy is a darling little older man of 12 years (DOB 08/09/2008.  He is in very good health if getting a little deaf.  He weighs in at 3.4 kg. He is toilet trained and quiet.  He does not like other dogs, cats or children, preferring the quiet life now.  He is perfectly happy to sit in bed most of the day and have access to outside garden and grass area for his toilet needs.  He is not happy with balcony type situations!

TINY

Tiny is an older well settled Chihuahua of 11 years (DOB 02/06/09)  When he came in he was very much overweight.  He has trimmed down a little and now weighs 3.75 kg and does need to lose another 1/2 kg. His heart and general health is excellent.  He does have slight patella knees so weight loss is imperative to save these from further deterioration.  He does walk well, if a little slow at this time. He is quiet, toilet trained, and loves a pat from his favourite person.  He is ok with one other Chihuahua except around food - when no one is allowed near the plate!  Not sure of cats and certinly not suitable with young children.

ZACH

Zach is a gorgeous Chihuahua cross Pug of five years, weighing 5 kg.   He is not good with any other dog.  He does have to be the only pet and kept under control.  

No cats, and no children.  He is toilet trained and very obedient.  He is very loving towards his "chosen" person!  He will be best suited to go with a single older person who has had a lot of dog experience and knows how to kepp control, as Zach does want to be "top dog" and this is just not permitted.  he needs a good garden where he can exercise as not suited for walking on the streets!

Princess, the most entertaining little sweetheart you ever met!  She melts the hearts of all who meet her!  She is a 13 year old Pom cross Chi, weighing in at 2.2 kg who bounces and dances every step she takes!

She is toilet trained and wll behaved apart from her barking (but fortunately she has a funny little soft bark!! She is a real bossy boots and makes sure she tells you what she thinks.

REGGIE

Reggie is a really lovely little boy and so well behaved!  Totally toilet trained, quiet, and just loves to be with you full time especially enjoys sitting on your lap watching TV!  He is not suited with children of any age and not sure of cats.  We are seeking a retired older person/couple for this little man (3.75 kg.) preferably with no young grandchildren.  One other younger Chihuahua to be a freind and play mate would be OK but he is fine on his own.  He is in excellent health and loves his little piece of cheese every day!
