NINA

Nina is a beautiful tiny smooth coat Chihuahua of three 1/2 years, totally toilet trained and beautifully well behaved.  She was born with bad luxating patella in her left back leg which has now been surgically repaired.  She will not be suitable with children or cats or any dog bigger than her.  If you are one of the many people who applied for her three weeks ago, would you please give me a call - you do not need to fill in the form again.

HEIDI

A tiny little (overweight!!) long coat pure Chihuahua with the cheekiest and most loving personality anyone could wish for.  That is the good news.  The bad news is that unless you understand these tiny little Chihuahuas and know of their "long tongue/short palate" problems then this little dog is not for you.  She snuffles and snores all the time.  She is too small to be suitable with young children: is great with cats and other very small dogs.  Heidi has a great deal of interest, so no more applications at this stage.  Thank you so much for your interest.

DIEGO

Stunning!  No other words to describe this little man!  Diego is a Chihuahua cross Tibetan Spaniel, 2 years old, toilet trained, and a really well behaved little man.  However, he will certainly NOT be suitable with children of any age, not cats.  Is OK with other smaller dogs but not with bigger dogs.  He is a good size weighing in at just over 5 1/2 kg.  Diego will require a very firm owner who will keep him "under control" and is prepared to do extensive training with him.  He has just been desexed,  Fully immunised.  Price $400

PUMPKIN

Pumpkin is a tiny little loving Chihuahua estimated to be approx. 10 years of age.  She has been desexed, fully immunised, microchipped, and now in good health.  She will not be suitable with children or cats.  Maybe one other very small Chihuahua will be tolerated but is more of a loner.  She does not like to be picked up (indicating that she may have been dropped at some time in her past!).  However she is prone to enjoy being snuggled against you and under your jumper!!

BINDI 2

Bindi 2 is a small Maltese who turned up in the pound, unclaimed!  She has been microchipped by the pound ranger as a three year old, but our Vet and her attitude and energy indicate that she very well could be not much more than a puppy!

She is the friendliest little playful dog, totally toilet trained, very happy to sit on your lap or snuggle like a baby into your shoulder! Her main problem seems to be a little bit of separation anxiety - does not like being left for any time.  Therefore we are looking for a home where there is someone home full time.  Only guess work, of course, but we think she was probably left alone originally and has escaped to wander the roads and suburbs seeking her family, never to have found them, then being impounded and doing her "time" in the pound.

She is now microchipped, fully immunised, desexed, wormed and flea treatment given.

SAM

Sam is a beautiful example of a stunning little dog!  We are only guessing but believe he is probably a JRT cross with a smidgen of Chihuahua.  He is 2 years of age and came in as a lost dog from the pound.  On first meeting him he is a little wary but warms to the one he chooses very quickly.  He will not be suitable with young children but could be Ok with older ones.  He is getting on well with the other dogs here.  He has been desexed, microchipped, immunised, and given worm and flea treatments.  He is toilet trained and a very quiet little dog.  Love the serious eyes!  Melts my heart when he looks right into your eyes, and I wonder what stories he could tell us!

AUSSIE

Aussie, bless her, she has had a disgusting few months on the roads somewhere!! Was rescued from pound's PTS list and now with us. We think she is about ten years but she is VERY active and so happy to be running free in a yard and inside!! She will be bathed and clipped before she is adopted out.
She has been desexed, immunised, and microchipped.  We have had a hernia removed and this is healing nicely.   Her price is $250 to help cover some of the costs of transportation and surgery.  The photo's with Mayer's yellow shirt are the after a bath and full clip!  She looks heaps better!

RICKY

Ricky is a beautiful little typical Chihuahua full of fun and cheeky!  He has been desexed, immunised, microchipped and given flea and worm treatments.
During the past six months Pepe has had both of his back knee joints repaired (Luxating Patellas).
He is now walking on both quite happily, but will need a home where he is not going to be harmed in any way as for a while these legs need protecting from damage and hurt.
He is good with the other little Chihuahuas.  Not sure about cats.  Most importantly NO CHILDREN of any age.  This includes visitors and grandchildren!!  Ricky has had over $3,000 of work done and we cannot risk this being undone or him being injured.  He is 4 years old.

MINI

Mini is a gorgeous little pure long coat Chihuahua of three years.  He is a blue and has the associated problems of the blue gene and he will only be adopted to someone who understands and can explain this problem and the care that is needed to keep him healthy and happy - if you do not know what that is then please do not apply for him!

He gets on well with the other little dogs; is very friendly and a huge cuddle bug!  Totally toilet trained. He has been desexed, immunised, microchipped and given flea and worm treatments.  First picture is more like true colouring!

PEPE

Pepe is a pure darling friendly little Chihuahua, date of birth 1/11/13 so almost 2 and 1/2 years.
He was born with the swimmer syndrome affecting his front legs, and a deformed bone in his back leg causing the patella knee joint problem.  However he is not to have surgery on any of these problems.  He is a very happy little dog and loves people and playing.  His weight needs to be kept down to help him with his legs.  He is a real little character!  He has been desexed fully immunised and microchipped.  He is partly toilet trained.
